Dear {ToNameFirst}:

A VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE, take note!
As those of you who were with us this past Sunday know, there was water damage at The Gathering caused by Tropical Storm Fay. Because of this, we are having our service this coming Sunday at The Aquarian Building. REPEAT: on Sunday, August 31, our meeting will be on Peachtree Street and NOT at The Gathering. Of course the Spiritual Leadership Council Meeting will also be in The Aquarian Building following the service.

From Sue...
What were we thinking!!! Obama's acceptance speech will surely keep a bunch of us home Thursday night glued to our televisions. With that in mind we have decided to cancel the Spiritual Leadership Council Meeting and combine it with a Community Meeting to be held after the Sunday Service. Plan to stay until 1:30 and shine your light on our vision of the future.

From Mel...
Hi Family! This is Melanie, Higher Sound Choir and Band's music director. OK, I've got an important task for ALL of you. I've listed a bunch of songs that the choir either has done or regularly does... you can get an idea of the type of song in the parenthesis next to each one. We have 2 goals in the semi-near future: Appreciation Concert and a full length CD. We need need you to help us decide which songs you'd like for our concert and our CD. Ron adds: Because it is much too long for the Newsletter, I put the whole thing on a separate webpage. Click HERE to see your choices and - I know how difficult this will be - choose only 3 for each category.

From Ron...
When Dr. Mary (my spiritual mom) was in the hospital in February 2005 (before she died), my friend Walt Hower was in the next room recovering from having a leg amputated. He has had a live-in helper much of the time since returning to his Melbourne home near the old drive-in movie theater; however, she has to leave for two months in September (4th) and October. This is in the middle of a treatment to save his other leg. We have one person who can come in 2-3 days per week, but we need more volunteers to apply the dressing to his foot. A live-in situation is possible for those two months, but not necessary. He does not require constant care, simply some special attention a couple times each day. Please contact me if you can help. Thank you.

DID YOU KNOW that you can check our Newsletter on line at any time; and that changes are sometimes made in between the e-mails? It's true; and e-mail programs sometimes mess up the layout even more than browser differences. Check it out. Simply click HERE.

CLICKERS still wanted! Are you interested in helping one Sunday morning a month with the clicking? Learn how to upload the Sunday service schedule onto the laptop computer to display the songs, affirmations, and country for the congregation. Very easy program to learn and operate. We rotate Sundays, so you would only be clicking one Sunday a month. Please contact Lori Weller at loritechdirect@bellsouth.net, Diane Carr at dianelmt@bellsouth.net or Suzanne Baker at bake4500@bellsouth.net if you are interested.

If you know someone who may be interested in receiving this newsletter, please pass it on. Please be sure to check the events listed below, as well as the other information beneath that.

Namaste,

SUNDAY CELEBRATION SERVICE WITH REV. SUE
Every Sunday, 10:30am-12pm

Great singing, special music, inspiring and challenging messages, and loving people! Coffee and lite refreshments served after every meeting.

Sue's series for August is: Will the Real Jesus Please Stand Up!
Much of what we have been taught about the life of Jesus has gotten in the way of the greater truth. He has by most popular accounts been entombed in the caskets of another world, another time and another place. I hope we can remove the myth to uncover the deeper meaning of the Jesus experience, the power of which caused the story to be written in the first place.
